CORRELATION GUIDE / DEV002 + DEV028

Refrigerant-side condensation heat-transfer correlations

The solver adds Shah (2009) and Dobson-Chato (1998) while retaining the existing models and default selection. Evaporation options are unchanged.

2. R134a curve comparison

Choose D=7.04, 8.0, 10.0, or 12.5 mm. All cases use p=0.900 MPa, saturation temperature 35.5255°C, and inner-wall subcooling 3 K. The curves check implementation behavior and retain regime transitions; they are not an experimental accuracy claim.

Each model is plotted independently over its own applicable quality interval. For these R134a conditions, all five intervals are x=0.10–0.90. Dobson's 5–15 kW/m² experimental heat-flux envelope is validation evidence, not a shared clipping limit.

Visible steps in Shah (2009/2016) and Dobson–Chato occur at published regime boundaries. Branches are left disconnected without interpolation or smoothing; Cavallini transitions remain continuous to plotting precision.
